mrforemark
Last year I tried to run my show with a larger laptop than the netbook that I started with 4 years ago. I had hoped to be able to easier edit sequences with the larger screen which are easier to see with my old eyes. I've deleted and reloaded the software and tried everything that I can think of including enlistment of friends and relatives with more technical backgrounds. With my working net book when I enable "Show on Demand" the show name automatically populates in the Show on demand window. With the non-functioning lap top, nothing populates in the window. I've tried to manually enter the name of the show with similar bad results. In the Hardware Utility console I can get the lights to turn on manually on both consoles. Is there an easy fix that one of the knowledgeable users can offer? This Saturday is our community light judging and I'd like to que up some of my update sequences. bob_moody
Did you apply your LOR license to the machine?
mrforemark
When I click on licensing update it says "You are currently licensed for the Advanced Edition with Super Star Demo"Does that indicate that I'm properly registered?
Paul R
If you copied your sequences and such from your old installation into your new, are all of the directories on the new machine the same name and location as they were on the old? I have run into this issue myself...the directory structure, and all directory names used by LOR must be the same on both machines if you copy sequences and show files from one to the other. Otherwise, LOR will not find the pieces it needs when it starts a show and will hang. The directory that usually catches me is the directory where I store my Audio files. Best of luck,Paul
mrforemark
What is the easiest way to determine where I saved the files? I always allow the system to default on it's ownAlso I created an animation sequence with no music just to introduce my lights and it won't play either
mrforemark
in "light o rama diagnostics" under registry Editor and New Musical\PromptFor Defaults = Not Set Does this indicate anything applicable to my problem?
Don
With my working net book when I enable "Show on Demand" the show name automatically populates in the Show on demand window. With the non-functioning lap top, nothing populates in the window. I've tried to manually enter the name of the show with similar bad results. When you say it automatically populates in the window, do you mean that once you click the Show On Demand from the LOR Control Panel a window pops up, and then the show name that you want to run is already there? *IF* this exact scenerio is true, then it's simply reading the last 'Show on Demand' run from that computer. Since this is a new machine, it wouldn't have run a Show on Demand before. If you look to the far right of that window there should be an icon with 3 dots "..." that will open up a window that you can use to select your show. However ... since you copied everything over to a new machine, I would run the LOR Verifier and make sure everything in that show is set up correctly. When you run the Verifier, be sure to select your entire show, not just a particular sequence.
mrforemark
Yes...That did it. It's now all working except the FM transmitter. I'll work on that next. This light show rules my life. Hopefully someone enjoys it.Thanks again Don.
