Anyone have a controller change unit ids by themselves?

Yesterday we had some rain so I shut the display down and powered off all the controllers. Today I powered everything up and ran the hardware utility. It recognized all but one controller. So I tried it again with the same results.

So I disconnected the cat 5 cables and ran one from the computer to the controller not being recognized. It found it! Only it was now id #6 instead of #7. So I changed the id back, hooked everything back up and is working fine.

So I ask, has this ever happened to anyone else?

You sure it's not a controller with a physical dial to set the ID?  I did that once on the one and only dial controller I had because... I forgot.

I had that happen last year!  It happened several times-to the point I had to check every night to see if it was on the right one or not.  Not excited this happened to you, but at least validates I am not nuts.  I think a few people thought I was crazy.  Wish I had some insight to why but don't.  Hopefully that was an isolated incident for ya!  Merry Christmas!

I feel like a goof.  This was on a CMB-24D.  I just went to check on it a few minutes ago (the sun is shining so I can see.)   A stupid lizard is in the box.  His little claw must have flipped one of the switches as he was moving around.  Fixed, no more lizard.
