Just remember no matter how low we may feel or how bad a situation is things can always get worse.

I was up until 3am last night unpacking took me about 45 minutes to get to sleep and my wife called. Our 13 year old granddaughter one of the ones we have raised for the last 10 years tried to commit suicide last night by taking 26 pills. I have been a mess and just got home from the hospital. I know God would never give me more than I can handle, just wish I had the wisdom to know what he is preparing me for.

Papa,

We are praying it all calms down for you some.

As I said in the PM, God does have a plan and we're very thankful granddaughter was not successful.

Hang in there.

same here papa, I am glad you were able to get to your grand-daughter in time and get the help she needs, maybe this wasnt the test, maybe this is why you have been being tested all along.

Maybe this is why he/she has been building your strength, so that you can be there for her in time of need. You are one strong papa, papa.

Remember papa, we are not here for our self's, we are here for all the others. It is our free-will on how we treat them. One's with a good heart and sole will always be rewarded.

The Smith family sends our prayers to you and your family. after all, are we not all family bro? we are here for you in your time of need, I am a PM,e-mail,FB or even a phone call away any time of day.

You stay strong papa

Life gets in the way when we least need it too but I think you are correct in that you were given these issues to test you but not past what you can handle. I know these are serious to you and obviously serious regarding your grandaughter. I could relate my story to you but we don't need the whole forum in tears...trust me, it can be by far worse. Deal with the issues one at a time and concentrate on the critical ones first and work your way through it all.

Papa, on this early Christmas morning, as Santa races thru the sky to each little boy and girl, I wanted to say...

You are in our prayers. Thoughts and wishes for a nice Christmas day are for you and hope you can pull thru the dark as the sun rises to find happiness and joy.

You are a good man with a big heart. Your light display shares joy for others to enjoy. For the smiles on children's faces.

You don't know them, they don't know you. But yet you... you... put smiles on their faces. Just like you do for your own children.

Your display shines like your heart... because it comes from your heart.

Don't ever forget that.

I personally wish you a Blessed and Merry Christmas my friend.

Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you very much Tom. This means a lot to me. Daniel stopped by last night with a gift I thank you for that Daniel. You two alone with everyone else that have sent their prayers have been a great strength for me.

Merry Christmas Papa.

Good to see you again. My wife loved your tree and is now encouraging me to "go big and fix my tree".
