jerrymac
Soon we will be hearing many of those grumpy neighbor issues. Although I moved east from Tucson though some might be interested in what CAN happen when a community gets together. This year is the 65th year.Since 1945 Winterhaven AZ (a small section of Tucson AZ about 10 square blocks if i remember correctly). Each night the streets are CLOSED to public traffic (barricades and police traffic control). They have horse drawn hay rides, horse drawn buggies, Trolley rides and bike rides. Food venders are there as well. This is a family affair where you can walk or ride.Last year they raised over $18,000 in donations and over 43,000 lbs of food. for more info see www.winterhavenfestival.org .A real example of a community getting together. Old Sarge
Just goes to show people what can happen when neighbors stick together and join for the holidays instead of complaining about anything and everything someone else does that the Neighbor Hood Busy Body Home Owners association thinks they Have To Control.. So Glad I live on the side of a mountain with no home owners associations or close neighbors... Nice to have the closest neighbor 1/4 mi away..
