steveV967
I was looking at building the CTB16KD DIY Kit, but there are no housings offered. Has anyone built one of these and if so what did you use to house it? Thanks,Steve
Marty Spain
I use the NEMA 3R steel enclosures for all my CTB-16KVs. I buy them from the local electrical supply company. It is a10"x10"x 4" enclosure . I have 8 of these units and they are out in the most harsh Chicago area weather. I do cover them in a plastic bag. I have never had any issues with them in 6 years. They can cost anywhere from $25.00 up to $40. They are made by several companies, such as Cooper. I have delt with Automation direct for power supplies and such also . If you want to discuss further let me know! mARTY
steveV967
Marty, Thanks for the info. It took a couple of days for my question to get posted, and I wanted to purchase asap. So of course I purchased the CTB16PC kit today that uses the plastic housing, before looking back at this forum or a reply. It figures... Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
