LORisAwesome Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Show me cables is good. www.showmecables.com They will also make patch cords any length you want.
jerrymac Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Monoprice as above great. If buying elsewhere be sure you are getting stranded not solid core (solid core is for permanent installation and is subject to breakage). I purchased some 100 foot cable to cut for shorter extensions and found that they did not follow the normal color coding (bought from china) so look at who you are buying from and check that what you are buying is what you want.
Denny Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Been a while since I checked, but both Home Depot and Lowes had prices close to Monoprice with shipping for a 1000 foot box.
Jay Czerwinski Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 I love monoprice and get other things from them as well. Check out their Velcro tie wraps for your CCRs. I even get my standard zip tied from them.
jeffl Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 10% off today and tomorrow. Use FALL10 at checkout. Their cables are good. I'm scrapping all my cheap cables I thought I saved money on.
edepinet Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I buy mine off of Ebay. Lot of selections and length. Prices good.
avery255 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I bought 4 new cat5 cabels from monoprice a few weeks ago and had issues with my show. Took a close look at the new cabels and all 4 were wired wrong! Decided to make my own and will never buy premade cabels again....I've ordered a lot from monoprice and this was my first bad order...
jeffl Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Guess I need to get out my cable tester. I don't have patients to build cables by hand unless I absolutely have to.
Max-Paul Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 To the OP, I had that problem a few times too. I created a sub folder in my bookmarks called Christmas. I put all kinds of URLs, aka bookmarks in there dealing with Christmas forums, lights, FM transmitters, and wire frames or materials like for Mega Trees. Then you have a go to place to look up some of those sites.
Darryl Lambert Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 For zip ties I use http://www.cabletiesandmore.ca/
dgrant Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Show me cables is good. www.showmecables.com They will also make patch cords any length you want.+1
jeffl Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Strung my whole display with new monoprice cables and everything looks to be operating perfectly.
