Lights Work with Hardware, Not With Sequencer

Good Grief..This hobby is FRUSTRATING!!!  LOL

Have 3 controllers for my Mega Tree (10, 11 and 12). I can get them to work with the Hardware Utility, but not with the sequencer.

When I run my "ALL ON" test sequence, my other lights come on, but not the Mega Tree.

Checked and double checked to make sure they are addressed correctly (10, 11 and 12).

What SIMPLE thing am I missing???

How after 5 seasons, do I still have these annoying problems!!!  ARRRRRGH!!!

EDIT: Ran VERIFIER, found nothing special...

Hey Jim.

Better question is, how can this happen to you with 6,277 posts? LOL ;)

That sounds worse than 5 years. :P

And MOST of those posts were me whining about something in my display not working!!!  LOL

One network? Multiple Networks?

Check that config.

One Network...just Regular LOR Controllers...

Control lights in the play menu? That's about the simplest and the most forgotten thing I know about

Yeah..first thing I checked...but other lights in my display are working...

Ok..done putting up lights, back to the computer to see if I can figure it out...

Hi there! You said you setup the addresses that's good. Did you setup each channel on for the right controllers in the sequence editor?  Maybe I missed someone else mentioning this , but it is a common error, I have done this when making changes with controllers. Each channel , where you change color settings, identify description of the channel etc... Also correct device and controller number.

  • 4 weeks later...

Sometimes Like Winders (Windows) it just needs a power off restart... I've had issues this year also...but also jumped channels and lights by 100 times.

Either that or a mega tree falling down...

Intermittent problems are always the worst. You might have lost a connection in the RS485 daisy chain

If it was that, it wouldn't be working with the Hardware Editor...

Ahh but then again, it might still be a problem. I just went through one controller that was reporting some of the time to the HWU and sometimes not. It wasn't taking any commands at all though. It was bent finger wires on both of the RJ45 connectors.
