wensteve
We bought the Wow Lights Singing Faces with sequences package for Halloween this year. It was our very first LOR purchase and are very pleased with it. Now that Halloween is all setup and playing like a champ we are now trying to plan Christmas. We would like to keep the singing faces up and make sequences using them but find that they look too "Halloween ish" ...we need to Christmas them up a bit. So far we have 2 ideas. First idea is to add giant Santa hats to the faces made of fabric. It might be hard to picture but basically they would flop to the side and have a huge pom pom on the end. The second idea I just thought of, was to put a giant Christmas Tree behind each singing face. I think with this idea the singing face would actually look like its on the tree. I am not sure if we would add lights to the actual tree as the singing faces are pretty bright on their own. Our singing faces are on the ground and pretty much are staged just like Wow lights has them on their website (I know, real original eh?) So what does everyone think? Or does anyone have a better idea? Here they are in action on Wow lights website:http://www.wowlights.com/ProductDetail.asp?Category=19&Product=390
amstone110
I suggest buying some singing trees, santa, snowman or reindeer from HolidayCoro.com. If that's not an option this late in the season, I like the idea of making them into giant singing Christmas trees. Perhaps cut a sheet or two of plywood into a tree and paint it green. This will be the cheapest way and I think it will still look good.
NEWTOUR
I concur with amstone, Holiday coro makes great singing faces and I just put together my first one (46" X 46" singing pumpkin) Only took about 3 hours from start to finish and I even added extensions to each light strip and covered the back with another piece of coro to block out extra lights from showing out the back. Val over @ Christmas-LEDs has great prices on the M6 light strings and I couldn't be happier.
TonyD
If you really want to do more "Christmasy" faces i believe holidaycoro sells some. Here is a great example of them in use:
Mega Arch
I do love the WowLights, but they will look Halloween-ish just by the way their eyes and jaw lines are cut. Only thing that might work is your idea of the trees. Maybe only use the faces for an intro like National Lampoon or something. Might leave them off during your actual Christmas show. Main thing is you jumped head first into this. Love it! Also, don't worry about being "original" and setting up like WowLights does. 99.9% of the people who see your display won't know. It's just all the forum and other light junkies that will know and we don't care. We're just glad you're enthusiastic about jumping in. It will be great whatever you do. Santas Helper
I do love the WowLights, but they will look Halloween-ish just by the way their eyes and jaw lines are cut. I agree. The fangs in the mouth and squinting eyes are hard to miss. Edited October 10, 2014 by Santas Helper
Santas Helper
This is what kevin did to "solve" the halloween face for christmas problem. Kevin didn't really "solve" the Halloween face because it still looks Halloween with squinting eyes and fangs in the mouth. Looks like a scary face with a santa hat.Not saying that's a bad thing if that's what your in to.
wensteve
I would buy from HolidayCoro in a heartbeat but I am Canadian and they actually don't ship to us
amstone110
Really? Did you email David to see if he would? I've done a lot of business with him and I'm sure you all can arrange something.

Max-Paul
My Wife sells things on Etsy. Some of her customers are from Canada. Them folks have to pay one hell of a customs fee. Might not be worth it when the customs fee is as much as the item price.Well almost as much. Its like buying from Ray Wu and getting straggled with shipping that is nearly as much as the RGB strips. We do pay alot for shipping and then on top of that we pay customs...with our Wow lights shipment we paid about $350 for shipping and then had to pay another $250 at the door for customs. We don't have much options though up here...wish this stuff was made in China though, it's always free shipping from there ")
Old Sarge
maybe make the Christmas hats for the faces out of rope light or string lights and mount it over the faces.
