Tony Shepherd
HiI have built myself three Marty Fans for this year. I have done most of my sequencing but i'm struggling to get the sequencing right with one element. I want the fans to look like propellers going backwards the sort of look you get with a timing light on a car or car wheels when they are caught by the street lights. Can anyone give me a clue or a short sequence which achieves this. They are 7 segment fans. I hope this is clear? Any help greatly appreciated Tony Tony@tshepherd.fsnet.co.uk
Joe Polenchar
Tony, Not sure on the going backward part.Could you give a bit more info?
sticks4legs
I believe you mean the effect from car rims that, when they hit a certain speed it appears they go backwards. I don't think you could get tre timing grid small enough for the actual effect to happen but you could chase them in reverse
Tony Shepherd
I think I have cracked it. I have created a short chase going backwards. Then using the paste foreground option pasted it in repeatedly. I have attached a screen shot. Works quite nicely.

I fade down from 100% to 0% for 3 tenths of a second and fade up from 0% to a 100% for 3 tenths of a second chase It and past for as long as I need it. You could also try it doing a negative chase.
