You have to install extra circuits to run your Halloween/Christmas displays lol

Ok, yea I know everyone here has that problem.

But I just finished mine up.

I know it's the new thing to put the ground pin up.  But it still seems to me as if the light plug heads are falling and screaming all the way down.... AHHHHHhhhhhh.  It's cool, I put in three dedicated circuits last year for my display.  Don't know if my panel has room for any more.

Hey Rainy, the reason for the ground pin on top is that if a plug is not plugged in quite all the way and something falls across it at the wall, the thing falling will hit the ground first and not the hot and neutral. At least that's the way it was explained to me.

Thats the reason I do them that way, it just makes sense to me.

I dont think it would ever be an issue with these being in the boxes, but its still good practice.
