Having difficulty setting time in mp3 player. The time and songs upload to the sd card and I can't seem to get it to operate automatically.

I saw that your LOR1602MP3 was purchased last year. Have you updated the DC-MP3 firmware to the version where the E, R & C LEDs chase when you first power it up? If not, the firmware on the MP3 player does not support scheduling.

If you need to upgrade the firmware, the DC-MP3 manual on the lightorama.com support page explains how.

If you do have scheduling capable firmware, make sure the 1602MP3 has been powered for 15 mins to charge the real time clock's capacitor backup. Then use the Hardware Utility's "LOR MP3" tab to transfer a set the time file to the SD card and insert the card into the 1602MP3 for 10 seconds.

After this you should be able to create a scheduled show with either the Simple Show Builder or the Hardware Utility's "LOR MP3" tab and it should play automatically as per your schedule.

thankyou John for your reply. We finally got the mp3 player to take the time by first deleting all on card, then uploaded the info again and it worked. If we could have thought of that first.
