Horsepower Recommendations 64 CCR's 20-16 channel controllers

I'm looking at upgrading my system for this size of a display and looking for suggestions. This year, I'm planning on addressing 18 CCR's and 2 CCP's along with 15 Standard 16 channel controllers. We will be growing to the Topic Subject over the next year and I'm upgrading the PC. I do want dual video output as it makes seqencing much easier, but I hope I can get some suggstions for CPU/Memory.Etc. I need to drive the signal quite a way but that is a different topic. I appreciate your input!

I would think most anything you get nowadays is going to have the horsepower to drive the shows, even ones you are wanting to run.

The lowest I would go would be an i5 with 6GB ram. (That's the lowest. I would recommend much more, even for every day computing.)

I 100% agree with Don. I used a i3 with 4GB ram and noticed some lag with less channels than you referred. If using LOR adapters, make sure each are using its own USB port and not sharing via hub. That cleared some of my problem. Using an i5 with more ram cleared the rest.

Use repeaters to extend your data. How far you going? The commercial display I worked on went out a 1000 ft to the first controller and then another 2000ft to other controllers with no problem but added repeater anyways. More to split direction than extended.

It's about 1500 feet to the mega tree from the command center and then about 700 to the first bunny arches. The bunny arches run parallel to a curving road up a long hill about 750 feet long. Can't really see all of the arches at one time so rather than splitting up  the 32 arches into 5 networks, I will probably have either one or two networks of 6 arches each and then duplicate the controller id's along the road. That would make things much simpler.
