When I got started and did the math, I was short.When I opened the male box they shipped me two females.So I had no problems ordering two males.Now I might have enough. It has been my experience that you'll always need more plugs than you think, so I recommend getting extras.2. Male and Female plugs designed to go at the end of a lamp cord are most common...but if you want to put a plug in the middle of a cord, an in-line female plug that is notched out at both ends is best. A standard female plug that is just notched on one end will work, but isn't ideal. I've taken a standard female plug and filed out a notch on the other end, but I'd rather spend the time doing other things with my display.3. Another alternative for plugs (and they also sell the in-line female type as well is http://creativedisplays.com. $6 for a pack of 10.
