Vampire plugs

That is a good price but I don't need anywhere near 100.

Then make your display bigger and buy more lights!   See, that was easy.   How many do you need?

Don't under estimate how many you will need.

I bought 100 male and female thinking I would have plenty... When I got started and did the math, I was short.

When I opened the male box they shipped me two females.

So I had no problems ordering two males.

Now I might have enough.

I'll pile on...couple of points:

1. It has been my experience that you'll always need more plugs than you think, so I recommend getting extras.

2. Male and Female plugs designed to go at the end of a lamp cord are most common...but if you want to put a plug in the middle of a cord, an in-line female plug that is notched out at both ends is best.  A standard female plug that is just notched on one end will work, but isn't ideal.  I've taken a standard female plug and filed out a notch on the other end, but I'd rather spend the time doing other things with my display.

3. Another alternative for plugs (and they also sell the in-line female type as well is http://creativedisplays.com.  $6 for a pack of 10.  Here are the links to the plugs:

I'm not underestimating.  I need 16 of each for a specific project and it's my last project for the season.

Thanks everyone for all the help and links.

Brian - next time you need just a few let me know. I buy them by the hundreds and almost always have plenty to spare in inventory. I can ship you a lot in a $5 USPS box.
