Randy Campbell
I purchased (2) LOR controllers w/ advanced software and I'm pretty much ready for this Christmas, I have everything layed out, a few songs sequenced, props almost complete and will start putting up lights after Halloween. I'm starting small and building from there. I have GE Color Effect lights that I purchased a few years back and have decided to add these pixels to my show. I researched how to control these lights and bought a E6804 controller from San Devices. It's my understanding this will work with the LOR software I have. I have the E6804 configured and I made one of my channels to accept DMX, I have the LORCommListener with the address of the device listed and click on the light bulb on the bottom of my monitor this is what pops up. 2014-09-15 19:44:19 30:Listener [iNFO ] Listening on port 88372014-09-15 19:44:19 509:DMX1 [iNFO ] E1.31u1; E1.31 universe 1 opened on 169.254.74.73/5568 2014-09-15 32:Listener [iNFO ] Connection accepted (744). Does this help anyone to see how far along I am or have I really strayed off the path? I've been using the link below along with a couple of others and I'm just confusing myself. http://holidayuniversity.com/forums/index.php?topic=1421.0 I know this is for a E681 but I thought the setup would be very similar. I don't have x-lights, Light Show Pro or any other software, I only have LOR. Do I need to purchase Superstar or does it come with the advanced software package I purchased back in Feburary? I'm not sure if I just have the Demo version or not. Does Superstar work with a E6804? Should I buy or download any other software and incorporate with my LOR? I've googled this so many ways and still can't figure out what I need to do. Does anyone have any links or advice you can send my way? It would be greatly appreciated. It won't be the end of the world if I don't have a few pixels ready for Christmas but then again why not? My head is going to EXPLODE!!
