sticks4legs
Saw this when I was looking for some other stuff. For those looking for enclosure, power supply and distribution block all in one. Power supply looks easy to upgradehttp://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=110&cp_id=11009&cs_id=1100902&p_id=6875&seq=1&format=2&cl=res&utm_source=140910_48hr_security_deals&utm_medium=email&utm_content=6875&utm_campaign=140910_q3_48hr_security_deals
plasmadrive
The box is not outdoor rated but if that is ok it looks like a heck of a price.. You need to make sure you don't exceed the rating of the PCB by putting a bigger supply in there.
sticks4legs
Plasma thanks for mentioning that. While I solder strips and strings PCB soldering is not something I have ventured into. Could you solder new fuses and increase the capable load? Assuming you increase power supply
plasmadrive
I would assume the PCB is rated for some value that is as high or higher than what that power supply is. Putting a bigger fuse in it only changes the current level where you have protection. That PCB may be only rated to handle what the fuse size is... so be careful or you could wind up with an overheated circuit board.
Bizywk
I have one of these for my home security cameras. It's really nice and allows me to reset the camera from a central location if it acts up. I'm pretty happy with it for that purpose. Plasma is right, I wouldn't use it for anything remotely close to moisture, and I'll bet you'd create a fire risk if you tried to drive part of your display with it. I recommend staying with the CG-1500 enclosure and an appropriately sized power supply for your set-up. Here's a common style power supply: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPERNIGHT-12V-DC-30A-360W-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-for-LED-Strip-Light-/221513853746?pt=US_Lighting_Parts_and_Accessories&hash=item3393412b32
plasmadrive
Or maybe better yet.. a waterproof supply rated for outdoor use. a bit more $$ but if you include the box and vent and labor.. it would be close..
