bhunt240
hey everyone i know most are really busy but this year im upgrading my roof out line and doing all the peaks and the gutter line withRed Green and Blue LED C9s i will be mounting them to pvc so my main question is whats the typical spacing i got enough bulbs to cover if i did 6" spacing that was my original plan but im just wanting some opinons?? my hope was that the 6" spacing and putting the bulbs either in a triangle on top of eachother or side by side will create a nice bright (FULL) looking line almost as trying to imitate an rgb strip thanks guys Blake
Don
I was using C6 LED thus the spacing was a bit closer, but I just had them sitting side by side on the roof. They were bundled together so they would stay close to the next bulb, but they were not on top of each other.

Max-Paul
I made a super string of 4 colors, red, green, white, and blue. My spacing between same color bulbs was 12".

amstone110
With the C9's being larger, I think 12" spacing will be sufficient. I did C7's around my windows last year at 12" spacing. I had my 3 lights side by side (Green, white, multi). With doing them side by side, any spacing closer than 12" would have been too close. I tried to do the bundles but this way looked better. With the bundles the lights kinda combined since the bulbs were touching, i.e. white also faintly lit up the other bulbs due to them being there. amstone110
I have video but apparently I am not skilled enough to get it into this post. It's amazing how one can be so good at some things and so bad at others. You can search Youtube for my name, Jimmie Stone and find it or I can email it to you. Video is called house lights. I double checked and I have both 8" and 12" spacing so that will give you an idea on both. Video was taken from across the street. The windows, garage door, and front door are all GRMulti side by side, 8" spaced C7's. The roof white is 8" spaced C7's. The roof red and the yard border are both 12" spaced C9's. Vince4xmas
I use C6 red/green/blue/white for roof line on house and garage as well as poles and windows. Offset every inch at 4" spacing and looks fine. Laid the first string color out, then centered the second and spaced the 3rd and 4th in between. Then tied them together with cable ties. Then every year after only had to hang one combined string. Now I just order RGB.
