Show scheduling and show builder problems

Everytime I try to schedule my show it says "unable to save schedule" and on the simple show builder it does not have any of my sequences in the "files available for show" section. Only a few more days till show is supposed to go live and I can't get it to work! Help!

Ian,

This sounds like a problem with the Light O Rama entries in the System Registry. This happens sometimes. A question to you so we can try to understand why this happens sometimes....

  • When you installed the software, did you install the Demo Software first then the production software?
  • Did you ever move your LightORama files to a new location after install?

I have attached a program "Registry Wipe" that will clear out the LOR entries in the System Registry and allow them to be rebuilt.

  • Save this file to your desktop
  • Stop All LOR programs
  • Extract the RegWipe program from the downloaded zip
  • double click and run the RegWipe.exe program
  • Start the Light O Rama Control Panel and it will step you through the post install and reset the registry.

Thanks for all suggestions. I finally figured out the problem. All my sequences were originally saved in "My Documents" but I thought/wanted to have all my LOR in one location so I moved the folder to "Program Files/Light-O-Rama" Thus being the problem I moved them back and it worked I was able to save a show. We'll find out for sure when the show is supposed to start this evening!

Well,

The show didn't work. It says the show is running but nothing is happening. I can run the hardware utility and make the lights work. I can also run the sequence editor and make the lights work. What am I doing wrong?

You have been moving files around. Lets double check everything.

  • First verify that he sequences still work in the Sequence Editor. If they do not play then you may need to re-point the audio file. Click Edit->Audio File and reselect the audio file.
  • Rebuild a new show. The old one may still be pointing at "moved files".
  • Make sure the Schedule is pointing to the correct show.
