smeighan
Nutcracker Tutorial Topic: Sequencing to a movieWhen: Thursday, June 26th. 7pm MST, 9pm EST I am breaking with tradition here and announcing the next tutorial 2 days in advance! Subject: How to sequence to a mp4 movie in XL/NC and the Falcon Pi Player. We will go over these steps1) Capture a movie clip (Disneys Frozen) and make a mp42) Bring the mp4 into Audacity. NOTE: Audacity normally cannot open a mp4 file. Download this ffmpeg plugin and run it and your audacity will now be able top open the audio from a mp4 filehttp://lame.buanzo.org/scroll down to see the file called "FFmpeg Binary compatible with Audacity 1.3.13, 2.x or later on Windows (THIS IS NOT LAME!):"3) Create timing marks, export as a label file4) create a new sequence in Nutcracker. We will use the mp4 (instead of a mp3). This capability has been in Nutcracker for a long time.5) Create effects for Frozen, save file as xlights xseq ----- Now we move to play this on the FPP ----6) Convert xseq into fseq7) Upload fseq AND mp4! file. No mp3 will be needed8) Schedule movie and sequence to run. Connect projector to pi player, audio to 3.5mm jack.9) Play fully synced movie and sequence. This next Thursday, join in for a frozen event We will be using teamviewer.
