aemnky
Is there a way to set up your channels in Excel and then import them? If Not could that be added as an upgrade?
Don
Unless you are *really* savvy with Excel exports and XML file creation, then it isn't possible. I want to say someone wrote something once that might do this, but don't recall who.

The Channel Config file is just an XML. Once you figure out the formatting it is pretty easy to edit. You can also do this with the Visualizer File btw. jstorms
I haven't used Excel to change my channel config, but I use to to figure out what channels I've used and to make it easier to find unused or duplicated channels. Just go into Excel, navigate to your sequences directory, put in *.* so that it sees all the files and pick a saved channel config file to open.It will prompt you if you want to open as an xml table, then ignore that there is no schema and it imports it really nicely. name color deviceType unit circuit7.10 SF-23 17" G1-6 WHT 16777215 LOR 9 105.12 EVE ICI T1-L BLU 16711680 LOR 5 122.16 SF T3 Col-R1 42in 16777215 LOR 2 168.2 L SF Markers 1 16711680 LOR 8 28.3 L SF Markers 2 16711680 LOR 8 38.4 L SF Markers 3 16711680 LOR 8 45.6 SF-04 17" T1-L3 BLU 16711680 LOR 5 65.2 SF-05 17" T1-L1 WHT 16777215 LOR 5 25.14 EVE ICI T1-R BLU 16711680 LOR 5 14 I imagine with some trial and error it wouldn't be too hard to export. In terms of adding lots of channels I use Bob's Vegomatic. Edited June 16, 2014 by jstorms
cgreenfield
I just Edit it in Multi-Edit, which is basically a paid version of Notepad++, then i use excel to make formulas that input information into the Text, then copy paste the text from excel into Multi-Edit.-Chris-
