thevikester
I want to run my video clips that are part of my sequences from the computer to my projector, which I do now, but I use a cable. I want to move my "Command Center" if you will, probably 40 feet away, in another room. Has anyone done this? And, if so, or if you have knowledge in the audio visual world, what wireless adapter would you recommend. I've come across a couple that say 30 feet, and IN ROOM, which won't help me with my dilemma...trying not to run a cable across the attic, down the walls, etc...any help or input would be appreciated! -klb-
Hopefully you will get other answers based on actual use experience, but I'm guessing that running the cable will be less headache than dealing with issues from wireless.
thevikester
Thats not the answer I'm lookin for KLB! I'm a big man, and its very tight up in that attic area...perhaps I can get one of my little skinny friends to go up there for a small fee! derekb
I used 4 projectors in my windows this year and used 25, 35, and 50 foot cables with no issues. I have not found a good, dependable, wireless solution. If you do find one, I would love to know, tripping over cables for a month is not fun. jgrayam
http://www.iogear.com/product/GW3DHDKIT/ We use these at work for presentations to projectors and LCD TV's. We can get about 100 ft through walls. Not cheap as they list for 249, but street price is around 200.
jgrayam
http://www.hdflow.com/ These can work over a LAN.
thevikester
Thanks for the suggestions guys..I will look into these...the IOGear, if it hits 100 feet, might be very doable, of course thru walls, your mileage will vary. The HDFlow looks good too, more expensive, I see about 365 is the lowest I've seen for that, most places are sold out, which is usually a good sign. 130 foot range is nice. Dave Batzdorf
You might try this, more reasonably priced. I had an extra camera and faced it to my donation wagon. worked pretty good. http://www.smarthome.com/76540/RF-Link-AVS-5811-5-8GHz-Wireless-A-V-Sender-with-IR-Extender/p.aspx
viennaxmas
Apple TV and AirParrot? (if the projector has an HDMI input) - everything runs on WIFI and AirParrot provide the ability to stream from your show PC... Problem might be the built in delay....
