Gemmy LightShow Color Changing LED Light Strings

I just bought the Gemmy LightShow Color Changing LED Light Strings and Icicles. I am looking to modify these to work with my LOR controller. Is there any way of doing this?

There's ALWAYS a way to convert light strings to work under LOR; it just takes money, time and technical expertise.

If you're not very technical, you can hire someone else to do it. Generally, the Gemmy brand is not easy to convert.

You may find your $30 string of lights may need $200 worth of adapters and engineering, so you have to ask yourself if it's worth it.

 

The GE Color Effects lights already have adapters available so they can run with either a DMX or an E1.31 interface.

 

If you're looking for Ultra Simple, get the Cosmic Color Bulbs or Pixels from LOR.

Just plug them into the LOR network and start working on software programming.

They're supported by LOR if there's problems and there's lotsa people on the forum using them already.
