Albertan
I have a quick problem with my controllers. The lights worked for 24 to 25 days without any problems and then all of a sudden about three or four different channels on three of my different controllers have stopped working. I tried the lights directly by plugging in and they work.do you have any ideas why the controllers aren't supplying power? The rest of the system works except those 3-4 channels on separate controllers.
atver
Since your lights work when directly plugged in by passing your controller. It sounds like you have a few defective trials that need to be replaced.
Albertan
What is a defective 'trial'?
jeffl
Triac is what was meant. It's the part that regulates the electricity to the cord. If this is the case you have to remove the card from the controller. Remove the heat sink and de-solder the triac and replace. It's not hard if you know how to de-solder and solder. I find it very hard to believe however that you would have this problem on more than one controller and this many channels. What are the temps where you are located? Any chance you could bring the controller indoors to test it? Are all the channels that don't work on one side of the board?
-klb-
Did you make any changes to your sequences? Any chance your channel configuration got messed up?Otherwise, I would think it would take a near miss from a lightning strike to have that many triacs fail at once.
