Don
I would personally recommend purchasing from a quality vendor. I've got nothing against the big-box stores, and people here on the forums have had very good experiences with the LEDs purchased from said stores. *The following statement is not an advertisement, but rather my personal/business dealings: I've had good luck with Creative Displays Inc (CDI) creativedisplays.com in the past. Papa6058
Wait for the April sale for your controllers and buy lights from one of the top 2 or 3 on-line vendors. It cost a little more, but the quality is much better they dim much better they are just plain very much worth the added cost. Papa
bhunt240
I was just wondering if they ever do mark controllers down. Thanks for the input though
Don
Spring Sale = Large Discounts, Limited Quantities. (Some items sell out in 60 seconds or less.)Summer Sale = Not as large of a discount as the Spring sale, but unlimited inventory.
scubado
The Target RGB ribbon is IP68, which is the better ribbon. Menards carries it also. If the after Christmas sales are good, snag up on it. Price on ebay for the IP68 weather proofing to see what price you need to get the ribbons locally. The Ip65 ribbon you find cheap on ebay you have to lay it in a bead of low odor silicon.Wait for sales on controllers.

I'd definitely wait for the sales, the savings will add up if you're getting 6 controllers. But if I compare them to other quality vendors I've bought from, I believe there's a big difference is performance and overall color. I've picked up quite a bit from vendors like Holiday Light Express and they have some nice lights. Much better quality, color and performance in my opinion. And they are priced relatively the same as some of the other LED lighting at big box stores. Good sales too in the spring/summer months to watch out for, can pick up a ton of lights at great prices. Surfing4Dough
All the popular LED vendors will start their pre-sale advertising around Christmas, with the pre-sales being in January. Substantial savings. I have been extremely pleased with HLE's quality, prices, customer service, and warranty.http://www.holiday-light-express.com
