Doug Farish
I feel like a complete idot. I have a 16 channel controller and a CMB24D controller. I am trying to get the CMB24D into the network but when I tried The hardware program found it. I forgot to set the unit ID and when I plugged it into the 16 channel and hit refresh it only found the 16 channel. I went back and just hooked up the CMB24D and then the hardware program would not find it. I unplugged the power and plugged it back in and it was found. I tried to set the unit ID and was told that there was nothing connected. This is driving me crazy. UGGGHHHH!!!!!
Orville
Sounds like you may possibly have a bad cat5 cable. Try replacing the cat5 cable with another and see if that helps. Other than that, I would think it would have to be something in the CMB24D or the USB485x dongle that could be the issue. Usually it's a comm issue with the cat5 being bad in most cases. I don't have a CMB24D, but if I read the manual on it right, it still uses the same protocols as a CTB16PC to get it's information from the LOR HWU software.
