b8man0674
Hello fellow lor family,Last year was my first year of with this stuff. I only have one controller and was able to do fairly well if i must pat my own shoulder...lol This year I was trying to tweak my sequence, however when I try to play it, i get an error that says can't find media file...I know I have the song on the computer in several different places because I listen to it all the time...(yes even in the summer...i love it). Anyways, i'm trying to figure out how to reload it into the sequence...i can make a new one, but cant figure this out...any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as i have alot of time invested in that sequence and do not want to start over.thx
Don
A longer description here, however you need to open the sequence in the SE, click "Edit -> Media File" and choose the media file again.
Orville
Apparently you deleted the original folder the media file was in. You should always keep your media files in the same place, this way, when the SE goes to reload it, you won't get that error. To find out where the media file was located originally, the SE can tell you by following what Don says above, but before browsing to your media file, notice what's in the location box, SE will show you exactly where it's trying to find your media file when yu originally created the sequence with it. So then you could recreate the same folder and directory structure, place the media file back there. close the sequence with the media file not found error, reopen it and now that you've re-created the original area, the sequence will now just reload the file with no further intervention. Yes, that's a lot of extra work, but if all your sequences used this folder/directory tree, then you do this once, put all your media files back there and no more media not found issues from any of your other sequences. Orville
Thx for the info guys...I was able to recover the media file and get my sequence going again. Orville where in Orlando are you? I would love to come see what magic can be had with 80 channels.I'll try and PM you with info later, about to head out in a few to help out a friend for our nights events this Sunday evening 11/17. I'm not using all 80 channels this year, only 48, have 4 good controllers and one in need or going back to LOR for repair when I can get it to them. So I'm using 48 and keeping one controller back for a spare in case one fails. I really need to buy a couple more controllers tor things like this. LOL But I'm in Orlando, just off Chickasaw Trail and Highway 50 {Colonial Drive}. Will send you more details on where I am in a PM later.
