1983ss454 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Tonight my displays Facebook page received this email Hello, I just wanted to write to you to see if you knew what day and time you were doing your grand lighting this year? Two years ago, by chance we happened to come across your display the night you had light it up. My son was who is autistic remembers every detail and has retold the story 1,0000 times how he saw the Grinch on top of your house. Last year I missed it and there hasn't been a time that we have driven through Ludlow that my son hasn't reminded me of it. lol! Of course today we went to the new Daves and he reminded me again that he doesn't want to miss it. Thank you for all of your efforts. Your display has been the highlight of our "light nights", and your home will has been the bright spot of our winter traditions. Thank you! =) Sincerely , Certainly makes you feel good after you've been busting your butt for months to get the display up and running Tony
Jeff Messer Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Yes, I love it when it happens. I also like the notes and cards placed in the mailbox from people who watch the show. Jeff
LORi P Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I've had a couple of 'paychecks' that were accompanied by plates of cookies. Mmmm... But my favorite paycheck was from a family with a girl who has Cerebral Palsy saying how much she enjoyed the lights.
jstorms Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Got an email from a family that had brought their blind daughter by, said it was one activity their whole family could enjoy together.
EvilM0nkey Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 This kind of stuff makes it worth it. I like the definition of paycheck
