Unit ID'S and Multiple Networks

Just a quick question on unit ID's.  When you have several networks in this case 10, and you have a unit ID of 01 on  the regular network. I guess it is ok but not advisable to have another unit set to 01 as long as it's on a separate network.  Is that correct?

Unless you want both controllers to do the exact same things, you should never have duplicate unit ID's.

I thought I read somewhere as long as they were on s separate network you could do that.  Just wondering.  Thanks again!!

If they're on separate networks, it's fine.

 

If they're on the same network, it's inadvisable, but it might be OK depending on what exactly you want to accomplish.
