plasmadrive Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I did it years ago for my laser stuff (after I shortened it to about 3 minutes.. I sure would love to see anyone's sequence to this very very cool classic.
k6ccc Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I love that piece of music. IF I do a musical show, I might have to include that...
Ken Benedict Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Technically called Baroque Hoedown, I tried a couple of times, but couldn't slow it down enough to hit the individual notes with my 32 channel piano.Even bought the sheet music. Maybe next year.
plasmadrive Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 I thought is was Fanfare of lights Baroque, but I think that is what Disney called it on the DVD I have. I just looked up the Baroque Hoedown and it has a long bit of history. Thanks Ken.
Orville Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I bought the "cassette" version, no CD's around when I first bought it, just those old cassettes, remember those? LOL. Anyway I got the entire MSEP, rerecorded it the hard way into my computer as WAV files originally. I had always thought about doing the entire thing, but that would be a show for just one night. Mainly because the entire MSEP is somewhere around 45-60 minutes long, possibly a bit longer for all music from start to finish. But it would be very cool to do the entire music from the MSEP to lights!
dgrant Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I've sequenced two versions of it, only different at the beginning. One is the original from the no longer available Disney CD and the other is mixed from that same original, compiled with the electro-mechanical voice at the parade itself.
Mickesgal Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I'm working on a 3 min version of the original for a 16-channel
dgrant Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I'm working on a 3 min version of the original for a 16-channelCool, would love to see it when you get it done. Mine is with up too 112 channels this year.
Ken Benedict Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 There's a new feature in the Nutcracker software called Piano that breaks down each note in a song and can assign it to a specific channel. There's an online demo somewhere and it's the closest thing I see that can auto-sequence that fast tune.
plasmadrive Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 I will have to look for that Ken.. sounds fun
dgrant Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 It looks like the nutcracker software is dedicated to RGB only. Too bad but its also understandable. I've not downloaded it so I have not checked it out other than reading about it.
k6ccc Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Largely because of this thread I did a 1 minute opening to my light show using MSEP (just for opening night). I used MSEP up to the end of the electromechanical voice, then interrupted it to announce my show and then count down to the real opening. I really did not have time to finish it, so part of it is a bit plain, but the guests for opening night enjoyed it.

At the moment, I'm using the Griswolds as the opening.
