Little_b Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 So I'm still a little old school and running mostly incandescent lights. So in preparation for setting up my first year with LOR, I calculated how much power each strand was going to use and adjusted how many strands go in each tree. Using a kill-o-watt meter one strand uses .34A. I figured 12 strands at .34A each would be 4.08A, but after hanging them and putting my kill-o-watt meter on, it says it's only at 2.29A. Anyone know why? If it's true I want to add more lights, because more is always better.
plasmadrive Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Voltage drops as you go down the line. That mean less current for each consecutive light.. so in the end less current draw. Perhaps that is your reason..
