My chance to "pay it forward"

So I'm in a club at school I'm my construction tech class called "Skills USA" and we basically go around helping the community put together and build stuff. Well my school goes to the city park every year and puts up lights for the "trail of lights" that raises money for something in town. We'll I decided to tell my teacher about what I do with lights. And he thought it was very cool and said "Boy you really get in to christmas" and I told him that was an understand statement lol.

Well after talking for a bit I told him it would be pretty cool if I could get one of my controllers and do a show at the new building put at the park. And he thought that was a great idea! So he called the person in charge of putting up the lights and asked him about it and he said it sounds great and he wants to get together and meet me and talk about it.

Well I was generously donated and blessed with 2 controllers. Then a couple months later another one from a secret Santa ;) . I had my show planned for 32 channels but no mega tree. That extra controller was going to be used for a mega tree. But now I think sacrificing that mega tree would be totally worth it and a great way to give back in my community.

So below ill post a picture of the building.

I want some input and advice and some opinions of how and what I should do with 16 channels on this building.

Feel free to let me know! :)

too bad you don't have more channels..I would put a singing Christmas tree in each of the four windows...

Jim, that sounds like a great idea, and here is how I would try to accomplish that with 16 channels, I'd create a tree outline that would be static green LEDs, then I'd use a static star on the top in yellow LED's.  I'd use static green LED's for the circles for the eyes, then use blue LED's for the pupils that could be animated with 2 channels, looking left or right, then I'd use 6 channels {also green LEDs} for the mouth movements.

I know this could be tweaked better, but each tree would be wired the same to the channels.   If more channels were available, then I'd have each tree be independent of each others singing/movements.   All static options are directly plugged into an outlet, no channel or controller necessary for these aspects.

But for a quick project this could be a good starting point and make any changes to improve on it.

Like said, this is just a rough starting point for the OP on your idea, which would be really great for that building and those windows!

or you could go RGB and not need any more channels... :D

Looks like a terrific site for a show, building with lots of potential, parking and no neighbors within radiation range of the lights and speakers.  Too bad it's late in the game, I'd consider moving your whole show there.  Security could be an issue though.

Yea that'd be cool! But I want to have something to show off at my house too! Haha

But also, this is a rentable party room at our city park. So whatever I out there can't be in the way of people renting the place out

A wire frame over the outer window or even inside shouldn't be in the way of folks renting the room.    Thie singing Christmas trees would be flat wire frame types, not like Mega-Trees or tomato cage type trees.   So that could still be possible, plus wire frames you can still see through, so they don't really block the windows or folks views too much.
