Struax87
This is my 2nd years using this transmitter and I'm having problems with the reception in cars. Inside the house it seems to be fine but in vehicles it has a lot of static and fades in and out. I'm running it on high and with a 10b antenuator and this worked great last year. If I take the antenuator off the signal is better but there is a hum present. Any ideas to correct would be appreciated. I have noticed the station I used last year and trying to use now has a weak signal present.
EARLE W. TALLEY
Sometimes the problem is that the input to the radio is to high, try lowering it and see if that helps.
caniac
output on the amp or pc at 25% and the output on the transmitter at 75% seems to be the magic numbers for great reception
james campbell
as far as the hum goes, try a better power supply
George Simmons
I eliminated hum by moving that same model transmitter onto a different electrical circuit that had neither a PC nor a compact fluorescent bulb anywhere inline.
jonsimp911
I can use the CZH-05b transmitter on any circuit in the house (including ones w/ CFLs, my show computer or LOR controllers) hum-free even with the stock (crappy) power supply/ac adapter. The secret? Plug it into a UPS (aka battery backup).
Max-Paul
Those crappy wall warts have the same problems that any power supply has. Just more so with the cheap wall warts. Those filter caps. (electrolytic) can go bad with time. Try a different wall wart with the same voltage and current ratings. Can be higher current rating. Or if your handy with a volt meter. I have been known to put my digital volt meter and set it on A.C. and look for ripple on the Power Supply. I dont do this often, so it would be subjective, or I know when it looks wrong. I would say that more than .2 VAC would be to much.
Deacon
Maybe one of these for a replacement power supply: http://ronsholidaylights.com/store/12v-linear-power-supply/
indi
Does anyone know if this is a good transmitter or not (Signstek 0.5 W 05B LONG RANGE FM TRANSMITTER - ORIGINAL Dual Mode Transmitter). I just got it to use as a backup. I hope I didn't throw away my cash. Thanks
