When I first saw the picture, I of course laughed, but then thought of A&P school so many years ago, where one of my "buddies" took some solder and wrapped it around my soldering iron's plug. I go to plug it in and poof, the magic smoke bout scared the crap out of me. I got him back though.

Those stainless steel ones are a ONE TIME use only for the unsuspecting individual that plugs it into a LIVE power cord or outlet.   So work properly, make sure their is NO GFCI connected, and that all outlets or extension cords are fully powered when inserted.

Oh yea, almost forgot, make sure you water the ground until saturated and there are standing puddles and you are barefoot before insertion for best possible effect. :P

I myself, I prefer the plastic variety and with an GFCI outlet. ;)

 Wuss...

I may be a wuss for my pref's George, but I'm still around and kickin'!  Unlike the last person that used those bright and shiny stainless steel, corrosion proof caps without a GFCI... :P  ;)

I had a thought about making them as gag gifts, but then remembered my high school Biology class and Natural Selection.  I figured if I did make and sell them, EVEN IF I put a warning on them, NOT to put them in outlets... someone would claim they couldn't read or I didn't write the warning in their primary language.  "Decoration neH. wej lan vay' HoS 'eS Daqvam, qaStaHvIS."  And would invariably use it.

Wow, no one has figured it out.  It wasn't gibberish.  It actually says something.  If no one cracks it, I'll decipher what it says for everything at 11:30 tonight.

I don't think a person necessarily needs to be either a decoration nerd or a personal nob to figure it out.  Although it might help if they could speak Klingon...

Getting close...  I will say this, it translates better to Klingon than back FROM Klingon.

It originally said (Paraphrasing)

For decoration only, not for use in powered outlets.

If you can read this you're more of a nerd than I.

Personal message me and I'll give you a gift.

So the question is should it go to George for identifying it was Klingon, or Orville for attempting to translate it?

Kinda funny that way isn't it? LOL  English to Klingon always looks and usually sounds good, but when going back, seems it doesn't remember what was actually stated in English.

Give it to George, he wrote it was in Klingon before I got my "translation attempt" in. ;)
