Quad
I've been working on setting up my halloween display and I just wanted to turn my CCRs vibrant orange. You'd think this would be easy from the palette chooser....but the default orange is more of a dirty yellow once its displayed on the CCRs. I've manually selected other "orange" looking colors from the pallette and have gotten pink and white when its actually displayed on the CCR. Am I doing something wrong? Frank Farmer
I had the same problem. Ending up setting Red to 100% and green to 20%. It's orange, but not the vibrant orange I wanted.
k6ccc
What I find for the easiest way to do various colors on RGB strips is to take the laptop outside (where I can see the strips I am working on) and remote into the show computer and use the hardware utility to adjust the RGB components until I get the color I like. Works better on dumb strips because it's easy to look at the whole strip rather than one pixel, but it does work. I use RealVNC for my remote control solution.http://www.realvnc.com/
Frank Farmer
Got my RBG pixels set to Orange, looks more redish in the picture. Originally had my gamma turned down, so they were as bright as I wanted. I'm pretty happy with this. You can see the glow in the parking lot now.http://lightshow.franktronics.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131005_231317_2061.jpg

Frank Farmer
Frank, what was your final RGB setting to get orange?I find on strings from different vendors it can be different.
