rainyoregonchristmas Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Those are Zach's pixels. I've got a string on one of my mini trees. I'll post more about them later.

rainyoregonchristmas Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) Ok, I'll let you know as much as I know on these: They were built by a fellow Christmas Lighter. He built them as a direct response to water intrusion and failure issues which are common in almost all styles of pixels out there. There is no silicone in them, a common ingredient which seems to cause a large quantity of failures. The pixels are injection molded around the chips as to prevent water intrusion on many many levels. They are flat backed, and have notches on the edges making attaching them to various media such as banding or 550 cord easy. I personally would say that this is the direction you can expect all pixels used for this hobby to eventually head. Here's a video I found for them off of you tube: Here is them on one of my folding mini trees: http://sdrv.ms/1dej59Y Here it is folded with them on it: http://sdrv.ms/1dejdWI I don't have a board to run them yet, so I can't show pics of them lit. I am planning on adding C7 lenses to these, and I can't wait. Unfortunately, my trees may not be ready for this year. -RainyOregonchriStmaS Edited September 7, 2013 by rainyoregonchristmas
viennaxmas Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 You can always contact Ray directly if you need special built pixels strings. I just ordered 100 strings with 35 pixels and shorter lead wires directly from him. Special orders are also a lot cheaper in shipping. Not sure if he would build one or two special strings but if you order a few he might be up for this... You can always ask in this forum if there would be anyone else interested in 6 inch spacing.
