plasmadrive Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) So far I have had several in a batch of 200 that shorted internally. The failure percentage is about 4-6%. (very high for cables). I haven't tested them all yet so I don't know the final number of failures. Mostly it is the two pins that are internallly connected to the blue and brown wires. On the cables I cut up the shorts all occured at the male end. I would recommend that if you have these and you received them within the last month or so, you might want to check them before putting any power to them: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/3m-10feet-4-core-waterproof-extension-cable-one-end-with-male-the-other-end-with-female/701799_541169977.html I also have the 25' cables but have not tested them as of yet. I also ran across one that had an open connection. I can live with open much better then shorted, but obviously these are never tested after assembly. I have used plenty of these cables in the past with no issue, but this batch has it's problems. I have informed Ray and he says he will look into it.. whatever that means..
