Have you hugged a potato today . . . .

I was recently informed that a potato was not a vegetable but in fact:

Potatoes are not veggies (I married an Idaho gal she tells me so) they are in fact a high calorie plant substrate designed and bred to be the perfect media to transport copious quantities of animal bi-product from our serving dishes to our mouths with out dripping said lipids on our t-shirts.

though I agree with this assessment somehow I still manage to get stains on my shirt!!  Can a brother get a hug around here, lots of hugs!!

LOL, it's not the potato, it's all that "butter" you're slathering all over them or in them {baked potato}, or maybe ketchup/catsup if eating French Fries {or the grease they were fried in}, that's where the stains all come from with eatin' 'taters! :D  :P  ;)

And here's a big bear hug for ya too! B)  :)

as best I can recollect it went down like this, someone referenced hugging in their signature.  This led to a brouhaha about man-hugs, either someone was a homophobe, had gotten too many hugs, had gotten not enough hugs, hot not gotten any hugs, or just got overly competitive about hugs (I am not one to judge just quoting what I think went down).  The space time continuum from Oregon chimed in that maybe it was time to talk about bacon because everyone loves bacon.  That led to a long deep discussions of all things bacon both with and without hugs (and beer).  Someone interjected that bacon goes good with fries which led to this discussion of hugs, bacon, and potato's.  Hope nothing got lost in translation.

in all the bacon discussion and french fries I totally forgot Tator Tots or as I like to call them "Food of the Gods!".  Though I would also add hot dog chili between the cheese and bacon (chopped no bits for this guy).

Nathan festival size or ball park size. God I love the flavor of these. I got a 160 dog box for 100 dollars out the door. Wife and I will take almost a year to finish them off. BTW we get them at Sams at the food court counter.

only if it's covered with bacon, you need to know how much you need

is that called hot dog hug?  Now do you cover it with chopped bacon or wrap bacon around before grilling or deep frying.

Stay tuned Sunday for our roundtable discussion on "Footlong is it really 12 inches".

Labor Day's "hot topic" will be "Corn Dogs - shouldn't they contain corn and just how much".  Also when is it allowable to substitute bacon instead of corn.  Inquiring minds want to know!
