Premier Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Ok, first year doing this, beeen sequencing since January and now getting close to setting up the whole show. What I don;t know is how to get all the different audio tracks at the same output volume. I downloaded Audacity but couldn't find anything about making sure all my audio files are CBR or if they aren't how to convert them to CBR.. Any and all help, even if its just a link to a previous post would be very much appreciated.
Don Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Audacity isn't well suited for audio leveling. Search for 'mp3gain' and use that to level out the audio files.
Orville Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) The newest version of MP3Gain can be downloaded here: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php You want the version that contains everything so you have all you need to use the software and make it work. Premier Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 thanks so much, both of you. Will download and check it out this weekend.
lorikix Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I've had this issue as well. The problem now seems to be a conflict of fix-its. I saved my mp3's as a .wav files just to get them working in the Sequence Editor, but the MP3Gain can't seem to work with them. I get the error 'is an MPEG Layer I file, not a layer III file'. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Orville Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 MP3Gain will not do anything with WAV files, you will have to reload them into the music editor you use, then save them out as CBR 128K {although I use 192K myself} MP3 files. Then MP3Gain can work it's magic on them. And they will also work in the Sequence Editor as well.
