GaryBo Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I have a Ferris Wheel, custom built that I used in my Christmas display in years past. I would like to give it to an LOR user.I have not been able to do my display due to health limitations.I have sold off the majority of my equipment and lights, etc.I would like to donate or give my Ferris Wheel to who ever can use it. It’s a great wheel, 12 feet high, revolving and with lighting capability. I used teddy bears and stuffed animals in the baskets (seats).Built on a “A” frame, motorized, made like an erector set, so it can be partially dismantled.Mostly aluminum straps and rods. Weighs approx 400/500 pounds. Has been sitting outside in elements. Paint has oxidized. Otherwise in excellent shape.Unfortunately it can not be shipped, it will take a pick up or similar vehicle to transport.I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you live in Nevada, Southern Utah, Arizona, Or Southern, Ca.,It would be easy to transport, with minimum travel expense.I want no compensation, just hope that my wheel goes to a good home.Links to some of the photos on photobucket (there are more pics on photobucket)http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/GaryBo42/Ferris%20wheel/PICT6442.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/GaryBo42/Ferris%20wheel/PICT6439.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/GaryBo42/Ferris%20wheel/PICT6430.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/GaryBo42/Ferris%20wheel/PICT6432.jpg Thanks,GaryBo
Buckeyelights Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Wow that's an extremely generous offer! Sure wish I was closer.
Orville Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Yes, that is a very generous offer, sure wish I was closer too, would be nice to have and receive such a generous gift from a fellow LOR user to put in my display. But I'm waaaaaaay to far away. One thing I'd do if I would have been able to get and transport it, would be to have a nice plaque made and mounted to the Ferris Wheel honoring the person that I got it from and built it.
Brian Mitchell Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 ROAD TRIP!!! Wish I was closer too. What a nice wheel and offer.

FarrOut Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Just wondering, Is it all one 'channel'? How do you transfer power to the wheel? Nice work.Dennis
