I started out January with a minimum of three new songs for each of Halloween and Christmas.  Obtained the music, created or borrowed sequences, started to work fine tuning for my show.  Got them tweaked to near perfection BUT now so much other music has come out and sequenced, etc.  I am now considering not even using the original three from January, am I suffering from sequence overload?  lol

I'm only adding a handful of new high channel count songs to my display this year.  Just mainly reworking last years songs.  I haven't had the motivation to sequence huge songs this year.  I've been focusing on building and adding channels and elements to the display instead of a lot of songs.  My biggest new element is about 1,200 sq. ft. and directly across the street.  The neighbor wanted in on the display so we're linking his house to my display with a set of ELL's and a 16 channel controller.  His display will have an 8 channel mega tree, with a single channel star, and the other 7 channels spread across his house.  The best part is I get a few extra hands setting up the display.

So my next song I have to finish is Dueling Banjo's.  I've decided not to do Halloween but focus just on Christmas this year.  Maybe in the next few weeks I'll get some motivation to sequence.

Nah Caniac, sounds like sequence underload to me. :P

I wasn't going to do a show this year for either Christmas or Halloween, but as late as it is, I've decided I'm going to try and just redo my last year sequences and cut them back from 80 channels to 32 channels and just do a small display this year for both Halloween and Christmas.   Will probably just set up a few wire frame items, blowmolds and a few lights.   Just nothing elaborate.  Have already converted about 4 or 5 of my 22 Halloween songs and will start on the Christmas ones after I get the Halloween stuff done.  May only do 8-10 songs converted from 80 to 32 channels for this years Halloween display and just run it on the half hour mark for the last 2 weeks of October.    Still trying to decide on what elements I want to use and those I'm going to cut for 2013.   2014 I'll add new songs and elements back to the display and up the channel counts.

But due to a lot of happenings this past year in 2013, it's just going to be a small, simple show for me for Halloween and Christmas.

Seems like more work to cut back the sequences rather than just use them as-is and do the same show as last year.

Not using all the elements and not setting up everything as I did last year.   Also have one controller that's out for the count, so I'd still have to remove 15 channels, since it had 1 bad triac and I screwed the board up worse trying to replace it myself.  That was a mistake.  So even if I did last years show, I'd still had to change the sequences and controllers.     And I'm thinking of possibly downgrading my shows to a smaller venue anyway.   Most go bigger, but since my disabilities are starting to take their toll on me and my health, so no more getting on ladders and putting lights around the top of the house or mounting things near the upper part of the house.  So everything now has to be at or near ground level for me.

So 32 channels may be what I keep doing from now on.    Now I just have to remember to change my sig graphic.

I started the year with wanting to add 5 new (Christmas) songs.  Now I'm on 30 and still working.  Not sure what I'll end up with.

Caniac.

Your right where your supposed to be. For me, If I here a good song during the year I pop it in LOR and away I go, off to a land full of pretty lights. ahhhh.... I had lots of plan sequences for this year that I made in my head in January. thing is, I forgot what they were. I have to many bright ideas on a daily basis.

last year I just did a 32 channels plus 2 CCR arches for Christmas. This year I am doing Christmas and Halloween with the addition of singing faces so now it's 64 channels. and I have had to do all the face sequences from scratch. I have not found any free sequences out there that have really good mouth movements. why pay top dollar for something I can do better. Just keep it up and the day you put the display up make you play list from what you got. I bet you'll have a lot of good stuff. In the Hot Rod world they say "run what you brung"

Or as Dale Sr use to say "you race what you brung to the track"!!   My thing is around the end of January to mid-Feb had my Halloween sequencing done (or so I thought).  Had done a couple of "real cool" songs then and didn't think anything would top those, now 45 days until setup they may not make the cut!! lol

I don't get the motivation until its almost too late.  I'm just now starting to get into my Halloween sequences...

94 days? Wow. I haven't even started planning the display for this year. Suppose I should get started, eh?

Well, you never want to rush into a thing like that.

This is my first year, I've got 10 songs picked out and have 64 channels,

I've got one song completed and hope to be done with sequencing by the end of September.

This is my first year dealing with a Christmas Light show as most of my business is dealing with building professional haunted attractions around the country. I wanted to do something for Christmas this year and starting out with a 16 channel show. If anyone would be willing to send me sequences of the following two songs I'd great appreciate it. I've been building my shows, but sorta kinda running out of time. Again any help would be greatly appreciated. God Bless The USA.

I see you searched for threads on sequencing.  Perhaps you should have started with this thread:

http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/33692-sequence-beggars/

I read over that forum and would hate to post that there. That is nothing but bashing folks asking for a sequence. I have 32 shows that I REPEAT I built in the last year or so and have never ever asked for help heck i just joined this forum yesterday.. I don't expect to be spoon fed as some folks refer to it as I do know programming.
