Mike G
I created a pixel tree in the visualizer consisting of 16 strings with 50 pixels each. I tried to import this to SuperStar and get a warning that I have exceeded 64 fixtures per prop. I thought with v10.0.0 I could go to 1024? I am really liking the effects that the SuperStar sequencer can produce and want to buy the 3600 channel version but seem to have a tough time creating this pixel tree. BrianBruderer
There is not a version 10.0.0, do you mean v3.10.0.0? And yes, you should be able to have up to 1024 fixtures. Please email your visualization file to brian@superstarlights.com and I will take a look at it. The visualization file will end with .lee and will be at: c:\ <your lightorama folder> \ Visualizations \ Editor
Mike G
Sorry for the typo on the version number. I sent the .lee file. Thanks for the help.
BrianBruderer
I took a look at the file. It appears to have been made by a third party application because the Visualizer only allows 64 fixtures per prop, and it has a limit of 1024 total fixtures in the whole visualization. Your visualization puts all the fixtures in all the strands in one prop named "Mega Tree". You can open your visualization in the Visualizer but if you double click on "Mega Tree" in the props list, it hangs. The program didn't expect there to be more than 64 fixtures in the Prop. So if you make each strand of your tree be a separate Prop then the Visualizer will be able to work with the Visualization without hanging, and you will be able to import it into SuperStar. Does the third party tool you are using give an easy way to make each strand be a prop?
Mike G
I believe I can save each strand that way. I used Smart Pixel System to create it and it gives you a save button to do that. I'll give that a try. Thanks, Brian.
Mike G
I started from scratch and was able to get everything going. I'm not 100% sure my channel assignments are correct but I am able to sequence in SuperStar and the image looks ok. I want to be clear on creating this tree before I purchase the SuperStar license. I was hoping to see a 2400 channel version rather than skipping to 3600 channels. Thanks for your help.
BrianBruderer
The 8 CCR license is $195.95 and supports 1200 channels The 24 CCR license is $295.95 and supports 3600 channels It sounds like you need exactly 2400 channels which is half way between the two license levels. There are no plans to add a 16 CCR license which would be 2400 channels, but the idea is that for just 50% more money you get 3 times the channels.
