Jerry Ludy
I am currently running a 4.00 GB , HP 2.60 GHz processor computer. After loading up the CCR program and operating the units, I noticed the visual display of the monitor appears to be hesitating as is scrolls across the screen of the monitor. Will this affect the overall outcome of the how it is received at the controllers in the yard? I have 23 - 16 channel controllers and 8 CCR controllers on the same network. Would splitting the CCR's off on their own network help this situation? "Just Asking"
LightsinMaine
I'd split the CCRs onto (2) more networks (suggested no more than 6 CCRs per network). Visualizer will always lag when you have that much traffic. But if you split a few networks it should fix the real deal show outside
Jerry Ludy
I will give a try and will let you know later. Thanks
Jerry Ludy
When I add a additional network, do I use another USB port with the USB485 adapter, running to the other controllers on that network? So I would have two complete independent networks running from the same sequence? Just want to make sure, before setting up all the channels and controllers. Curious Mind
NateHRavenSound
New to forums, but I've been working with CCRs for 2 years now.I have noticed Glitching in ribbon performance when programmed "manually" not with the macros. I do a lot of custom light shows that involve/REQUIRE custom effects. I just ordered some of the High Speed usb-rs485-HS dongles to try. I will post any data I can get. I should have a video up mid August of a show running all summer with (4) CCRs and (1) iDMX1000. Any words of wisdom on Network Setups out there? I will be doing a dance show this winter with 12-CCRs and 4 iDMX1000s and I'd like to clear the glitching out prior to that.
T17443
I am running 12 controllers on one network, 6 CCB controllers on another network, and 6 more CCB controllers on a third network. My shows run OK when I leave the CCB'S at lower speeds but performance suffers severely when I try to run a complex CCB show with a lot of morphs and scenes concurrently. I changed the speed to 500k and the CCB'S work much better, but the first 3 controllers shutdown and won't do anything. I just purchased the new HS adapters and hope to see improvement. I will report out what I find. If anyone has any other thoughts I would love to hear them.
