Ron95632
Just finished building kit . Failed test. No output to any channel. Using 40 watt lamp for test. LED flashes until I go to "hardware utility", then goes steady on. All ic's are facing the right direction.Have reset by removing jumper powering up for a few seconds, install jumper and hit reset. Finds unit"01 CTB16PC rev 4.32". Am using dual ac input cords. The center pin of all triacs is common to ac hot input. Both fuses are good. There is 172 ohms going from the right hot input to the right side neutral terminals.Going from the left side hot input to the left side neutral terminals it is inf. high. Max-Paul
Need up close clear photo of the little white 6 lead chips near triacs. Also same for the two chips below the brain chip (long skinny chips). Sounds like a control problem and more than likely either the two multiplex chips are in backwards or the 16 opto chips are. I say this cause of the status LED is doing what it is suppose to do. And that means that the RS-485 chip and the brain chip are working like they should. And I have to presume that you high lighted the 01 board that it finds, before trying to control the channels. MCas4380
Are you testing the lights using the Hardware utility or a sequance? if your using a sequance insure that control lights is checked
Ron95632
OK im blind or a idiot. My mistake was that I had all 16 opto-isolators 180 out.I had checked this but I made the mistake that the little logo on each isolator was the dot for pin 1.I sent the board back to LOR and Kevin found the problem and returned the board. I was lucky I had all the isolators in sockets. All he had to do was pop them out and install them the right way. With the isolators installed right they looked just the opposit way they should be until I looked at them with a high power magnifier. These ic's had a small indent rather than a colored dot for pin 1.
