CCR No Lights?

Well after only two seasons with the CCR, which has been working perfectly. Decided that it was time to bring it out again to start some more sequences . And that where things have gone haywire. Well actually truthfully things arent working at all. I have no red led lights showing on the controller box for status, the harware control panel cant find it, due to no lights on controller. It was working fine thruout last years display never missed a beat. It has been in waterproof container thruout the season. After taking all displays down and pack away. Checked CCR before putting in storage. Working just fine. Now no lights on controller. Puzzled. Anyone have any ideas on what is or why its not working.

First check the network cable you are using is not at fault and ensure that the LOR dongle has been recognised by your computer.

Well update on CCR I tried a different power supply, got red lights, thought cool its fixed. Then had to go out so turned them off. Thought yep will programme new songs later on in the day. So got all cables connected power on. and bugga no red lights again, but the CCR'S themselves were on, so thought ok maybe its just a case of computer needs to find them. NOT!! Hardware Utility unable to find CCR. I know that power supply is good and works as I got it off my other strip lights and checked power and amps rating before I plugged in, both the same. Is there something I am missing? Or is it my controller unit stuffed?

Something is not right with the CCR controller or strips, is the CCR still under warranty, do you have more than 1 CCR that you could swap the CCR strip with to determine if the issue moves to another controller

Unfortunally no i only have one CCR and prob not under warrenty as it 2yrs old now, the other strip light is just a straight RGB and not compatiable with CCR connections on RGB...

  • 2 months later...

Well after quite a few emails back and forth with LightORama, whom have been very helpfull and great with repling to me. I have had great news, I sent back my ccr for their techs to look at. Those wonderful people at LOR are sending back a replacement CCR. I am so happy about this, actually happy doesnt describe it really. I am over the moon. I cant wait for the CCR to arrive so I can get on with more sequencing. So I am saying a big THANKS to LOR. You guys are so easy to deal with and very accomadition to your customers. One day when I get more dollars sorted I will be buying some more bits and peices. And theres only one place I will be going shopping for what I want Online at LOR.

I cant thanks those guys enough for what they have done for me.

And also thank to all out there with your tips and tricks
