George Simmons
As a Trek fan for over 40 years, I give Into Darkness two thumbs up! If I was an alien with five thumbs, I'd give it five thumbs up. If I was an alien with eleven thumbs, I'd give it eleven thumbs up. Yes, it's that good. We saw it in 3D this afternoon and it was a totally awesome experience! I only wonder how many more times I'll see it in the theatre, and whether I'll buy the DVD on the first day it's released or whether I'll give myself a lesson in patience and wait until the second day. Live long and prosper.

Ron Boyd
I got to see it on IMAX 3D and I will put it up at second, a close second, to my favorite movie. I've seen over 2000 movies in my 49 years, and the CGI and special effects just get better with every big blockbuster that is released. Whether you're a Trekkie or not, you need to see this movie. It's, in the words of my generation, Awesome, totally awesome!!!!
Max-Paul
Sort of like you George, though I dont call myself a Trekie, but a big fan of. Remember being a kid and folks bowled on Friday night, early league. Grabbing Micky Ds and rushing home to catch that weeks installment of Star Trek. But truth be told, I can bear to watch the old original stuff any more. And there was a few versions like Voyager that I could not stomach. Got the 2009 movie on my phone so I can watch now and then where ever. Think we will wait till one evening next week. Thanks for the recommendation. CLD Kevin
I could agree more!! After being totally disappointed with Iron Man 3....I regain my faith in big block buster movies. I caught the early show to beat out the crowds. Big fan all my life and love watching original version at 1am. What was great is that I did not watch any highlights, trailers or read up on the storyline. I wanted to be completely surprised.....and was I ever!! Orville
Loved the original, enjoyed the Next Generation, enjoyed Deep Space 9, but could never really get into Voyager, mainly becuse of the shape Capt. Janeways ship, not even going to say what that looked like to me. Hoping to get to see the new Trek movie soon, won't do 3D as my vision isn't suited for 3D movies, even when it was, they gave me severe migraines, so it's the old standard for me when I finally will get to go see it. Glad it's getting great reviews from folks.

George Simmons
Saw this today at the IMAX in 3D, loved every minute of it. Best line, Damnit Spock i'm a doctor not a torpedo surgeon.. It's almost uncanny how Karl Urban just nails the McCoy character and how Simon Pegg does the same with Scottie. The casting is superb IMO. Notice how the Klingons looked different? Almost like their bloodlines in this reality contain some Gorn genes...
