JerryB
I am working on some "simple" animation to put on a matrix. In the LOR sequencer I have some set to be brown by setting the intensity to 60,30,0 for the RGB and it looks like it is workiing. But on the actual lights they look yellow and it doesnt seem to matter how I tweak the intensity, Am wondering if this is because the frame rate is too fast at .1 second for the led's to light up with the correct intensity or is it more likely something else. I am using WS2801 led's and a Sandevice E682 controller

k6ccc
Brown is a bit hard to get. What I do when I'm trying to get some particular color is to bring up the hardware utility so I can move the individual colors around with faders to control the actual lights. Then keep trying various levels until you get the color you like. Keep in mind that when you get close you will likely be making 1% changes with some color or another. Also remember that this could radically change with different light sources. On a side note, what I do is take a laptop into the front yard and set the laptop on a card table (or the tailgate of my truck) where I can see all the lights I want to color test. Then I use VNC via a WiFi connection to remotely control the show computer. That way I am NOT having to keep walking from the back of the house to the front yard to see what a change looks like. Saves a LOT of time and effort. I do have one advantage in that I am primarily working on landscape lighting so the lights are installed year round.
