lowepg
I'm doing Halloween for the first time this year. I need to build a coupe dozen coro items and 4 singing faces. I'd like to start building that stuff NOW so I can take my time on the programming, designing how to mount everything, etc. So I'm going to need a crap load of lights ;-) When can I expect to be able to find some? Are there places now where they can be had at a reasonable price?
Don
"Reasonable" is probably going to be different for every person out there. That said, Creative Displays usually has stock on hand, and available for purchase any time of the year. (Google "Creative Displays" for the link.) scottam67
Try here too. Unfortunately, you just missed all the pre-order sales. This site is currently having a sale. http://www.holiday-light-express.com
kelly jett
check out "allthingschristmasandmore.com". they keep a good amount of lights all year long. prices aren't too bad and they usually have a really good selection. call and ask for tarah and she might be able to get a good deal if your looking for decent quantity. you might also check with jeff at "lightsmusicmagic.com" and he might be able to help you out. good luck

Thanks, I did see case lots of 100-strings for $240 ($10/ea). Dumb newbie question: Are those "commercial mini brites" substantially better than, for example, the plain jane ($8) HLS sets from 1000bulbs.com? S I wouldn't be able to answer that, as I haven't used products from both companies, only one. Edited April 4, 2013 by Don
