Just bought one of these on Ebay:

http://www.pro-lite.com/indoor-singleline-plxpm20.htm

I've had people ask me what time the shows are, or what channel on the radio, and I point to the 2x3 foot sign that is right beside them. Maybe this will get their attention.

I had one women totally bewildered about the music playing through her car radio. She wanted to know know how much it cost me to get the radio station to play my songs every night.   Here's your sign....

Been using one of those L.E.D. signs since I started in this hobby.  Also use several static signs as well.   Still doesn't help with some folks, no matter how simple you try and make it for them. rofl

The description says indoor.  Will you use it outdoors?

Nothing a little enclosure won't fix.

Pro-lite does make outdoor ones, but they co$t a lot. I have glass front doors with a life size Santa standing in it. This will above his head, mounted inside. Be nice if you could see it in daylight but not this model. Again, you can get them but $$$$. :o

Do some searching but if I recall you should NOT put this on an LOR channel (but just a timer). I have read numerous people who have had theirs die before the first season ends because it was on an LOR channel. I use the same type in an enclosure I built on a timer and works great...but like others said, u will still have people asking the same questions.

Now that's curious. Why would an LOR channel be any different than a timer? Unless you're dimming the unit and thus giving it a "brownout" condition. Or if you turn it on and off all night long. Mine will be on a timer and shut off for the entire show.

I can't remember for the life of me why, but it has something to do with how the power is put out. If I remember I think it kept killing the signs power supply or something like that. If u search you'll find it out there and the true reason why. Search "Betabrite Prism LED Message Sign".....for som,e reason the forum isn't letting me paste the link in this message
