Thoughts on starting a sequence from scratch

Looking at doing a Halloween Skrillex sequence and am doing this one from scratch.  Have played around with Beat Wizard, VU  Wizard, and Tapper but for the most part not overly thrilled with them.  When working with a song such Skrillex what do most of you do?  Do you use these tools?  Chop the song up in sections and sequence certain props to that section?

That would be primarily tapper wizard if I were to try.   Skrillex changes tempo and beat so quickly that the tapper wizard would be the best way to handle those.  Then go back and work a section at a time.   Id work the drops first as thats where most of the fast changes would be, then go back to work the intro and lead out.

If the song has significant tempo changes (as WilliamS suggests), the Beat Wizard won't do a good job without a little tweaking: Try using it on only a portion of the song, with that portion having a constant beat.  Then try it again for the next section of the song, with that section having a constant beat.  And so on.
