Ralph D
I'm stuck on what i will add this year. each year i do a little something different, but now that you mention it. I'm really stuck. I was thinking this year I would go back to the roots of Christmas lights for me anyway, really go all out and do some really upbeat fun and truly classic songs, something anyone young or old can sing to while watching the show. i'm tired of the radio top 40 stuff, so i think I will do a set of classics but maybe remix some songs with a great back beat to make it easy to program. fyi, i tried to do the crazy frog song a few years ago, and after about an hour and a half I just couldn't any more I wanted to run out on the high way and get hit by the first truck. so that ended my crazy frog days. Two years ago i did a Michael Buble song and its still one of the best i've ever sequenced, don't get me wrong it's not a great dance song it's not upbeat at all, but it's definitely one of those songs when played and watched you put your arm around your partner sit close together in the car and enjoy the moment. This past year I got an email telling me this guy has been bringing he's girl friend buy my house during the holidays for the last three years and it has quickly become their holiday tradition to come see my home and the lights together, long story short this year when they came he had a surprise for her. when Micheal buble . i'll be home for Christmas played he took her out of the car walk her to my Christmas on Manhattan arch and under my arch hangs a mistletoe, he got down on one knee pulled a ring out of his pocket and proposed right there on the spot. it simply is things like that that keeps me going every time I think I've had enough. jfelix
Ralph that is awesome. We had a similar thing happen here at our display this year. I was lucky enough to be out doing traffic when it happened. We took pictures and posted then on our FB page for them. Not to high jack do let's talk songs. I'm planning on making 4-5 shows this year with themes. I hopes to do it last year but never got around to it. Looking at classics, religious, kids songs, maybe country, and upbeat. I have about 15-20 songs now and will add more then split then up.

George Simmons
thinking of adding some Bob Rivers to the Christmas Collection, but for now I'm in July4th mode I added quite a few Bob Rivers tunes in 2012 and people liked them. I'm still waiting for someone to sequence Who Put the Stump? My grand daughter would go nuts if had the gummy bear song sequenced, and I'd go nuts listening to it that much, lol I'm looking forward to seeing my grandkids go nuts with that song too. I think I got it done just in the nick of time to save my sanity - I know it was close...
