Papagayo to LOR song length changes

I was playing with Papagayo to try to make a short sequence for my wife's birthday.

I used Audacity to record a wav file that comes out to 28 seconds.

Using Papagayo set on 25 fps I got the words placed and then exported the file. When I open the Papagayo to LOR program it says the song is 26 seconds long and if I import it to the LOR Sequencer the audio is 28 seconds long but the lights are only 26 seconds.

When I opened a new project in the sequencer I told it to use fixed timing at .04 seconds.

Any idea why the other 2 seconds are missing, it throws the lights way off.

When you open your files in papagayo does it stay at 25fps or does it default to 24fps?

Hmmm

Goes back to the default 24, I have tried this several times and made sure it was on 25 before startiing to do the edits and when I saved... bad copy of papagayo maybe ??

No. What you need to do is open your file with notepad and in the first line you will see a 24. Change it to 25 and save and close notepad. Reopen file in papagayo and it should now be 25 fps. Down side is you will have to line everything up again.

Thanks, a mild nuisence if that has to be done every time. Hope it doesnt overwrite the edit next time I save the file in Papagayo. will find out shortly :P

What version of Papagayo did you download? Mine saves the timing setting each time on new files.

V 1.3.5.3

I have the same version and still have a problem with it defaulting to 24fps in win vista ultimate and win 7. Can't count how many times I've uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result.

I'm using windows 8. that might have something to do with it.

You can uninstall and reinstall all you want and that will not do you any good.

You must set the 25 FPS for every new file and after that it will set the 25 FPS when you open that file again.

If you look at the PGO saved files the 3rd line will have 25, this is the FPS you need.

Dennis you might have to set the FPS to 25 on every new file but the version I have defaults to 25fps on every new file. after reading your post I opened Papagayo and loaded a new file and sure enough the FPS was 25. nothing to change at all. I can't explain why but that's what happens.

I need to clarify here that we are all talking about the same version of Papagayo called  PapagayoMOD version 1.3.5.3. Obtained from BobOs web site. is that what everyone is using?
